About the Founder

Kinder Academy Prep School

Let me introduce myself. My name is Kimberly Lind, and I am the Owner, Operator, and Principal of Kinder Academy Prep School. I am a retired educator with 33 years of experience in both private and public education, with a lifelong focus on early childhood education.

Throughout my career, I served in instructional and leadership roles supporting children across multiple grade levels. I hold a valid lifetime teaching certificate for self-contained classrooms (Grades 1–8), an Early Childhood Certificate (Pre-Kindergarten through Kindergarten), a Texas Educator Certificate, and a Principal Certificate. These credentials, combined with decades of classroom and school-based leadership experience, inform the academic structure, instructional quality, and daily operations of Kinder Academy Prep School.

Owning my own school has always been a dream of mine. Upon retiring from public education in 2022, that dream became a reality with the founding of Kinder Academy Prep School.

Kinder Academy Prep School serves children ages 4 to 8 and was created to support local families who believe effective learning does not require a traditional seven-hour school day. Our program is ideal for families seeking academic support within a homeschool framework, as well as those working part-time who desire a structured, high-quality learning environment for their young child.

My educational philosophy is grounded in the belief that children learn through play and that all children can learn when instruction is presented clearly, intentionally, and in a way that makes sense to them. We prioritize developmentally appropriate instruction, small-group learning, and hands-on experiences that build confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

At Kinder Academy Prep School, we focus on early literacy, foundational mathematics, social-emotional development, and critical thinking—while honoring childhood and fostering curiosity in a safe, nurturing setting.
